Nancy T. Clark
On Jan. 15, 2010, Nancy T. Clark passed away at Torrance Memorial Hospital in Torrance, Calif., surrounded by her daughter Cynthia Watson, son-in-law Michael, and her loving grandchildren.
Mrs. Clark was born in Morgantown, W.Va. and attended high school and business college in Pittsburgh, Pa. during the war years. With the end of the war, she moved with her parents to Clearwater, Fla. where she met and married Thomas J. Clark, a young fighter pilot returning from action in China. During this time, they had two children, Cynthia B. Clark and Thomas H. Clark. This period of joy was cut short for Mrs. Clark with the death of her husband Tom in a military accident in Taiwan in 1957. Alone and widowed in a strange country, she returned to the States and eventually settled in Colorado where she raised both of her children and made sure that they went to college.
Mrs. Clark then traveled to Arizona where she once again established a new life for herself, finally settling in Payson, where she spent her remaining years. In Arizona she was active in the Scottsdale Welcome Wagon Organization and the Payson Chamber of Commerce, where she let her bright smile smooth the way for newcomers to the region. She also became active in the Payson Spiritual Center, and in the final years of her life, she discovered a deeper and more spiritual outlook on life.
A memorial to celebrate her life was held Feb. 14 at the Payson Spiritual Center.

Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
