Richard Campbell

Richard Reid Campbell was born Feb. 15, 1926 and died March 10, 2010.
Mr. Campbell was born in Pasadena, Calif., but spent his youth in Phoenix. He graduated from Phoenix Union High School and later earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Arizona State University.
He taught middle school in Long Beach, Calif. for more than 20 years. After retiring from teaching, he returned to Pine with his father Roy Campbell.
“He was a loving son, wonderful uncle and friend to his nieces, nephews and extended family. He was a true caretaker for his dad and beloved Aunt Mary Ellen Randall. He loved animals and took great pride in his yard and fruit trees,” writes his family.
He is survived by his sister, Eleanor Ruth Wesson.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 20 at the Pine Cemetery.
