Virginia P. Conrad

Virginia P. Conrad of Payson died Tuesday March 16, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter F. Conrad.
Born in 1925, she was raised near Clarksburg, W.V. She later moved to Dayton, Ohio where she worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a civil service employee. In 1962 she moved to San Diego, Calif. and continued her career in civil service at the San Diego Naval Station. She retired from civil service employment after working many years at the Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma, Ariz.
She and Walt moved to Payson around 1990. They loved Payson for its friendly people and its serenity.
In her lifetime she was fortunate enough to love and be loved by her many beloved pets and know the joy and comfort that comes from their unconditional love.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol Lowe of Mississippi; stepson Steven Conrad of Las Vegas; and 5 grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Jesse Spencer; a sister, Joy Findley; one niece, Mandy Shadden; and two nephews, Jeff Spencer and James Walters.
