Helen Antonia Cossalter
March 16, 1920 - March 9, 2011
Helen Antonia Cossalter passed away peacefully at home in Payson on March 9, 2011, just one week before her 91st birthday.
Mrs. Cossalter was born March 16, 1920 in Duluth, Minn. to Axle and Antonia Peterson and was one of 10 children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, eight siblings, her loving husband of 64 years, Romulus Cossalter, and her first grandson, Paul Cossalter.
Mrs. Cossalter is survived by her sons, Ellery (JoAnn) Cossalter of Duluth, Minn., Duane Cossalter of Payson and General Timothy Cossalter of St. Paul, Minn.; daughters, Susan (Simeon) Georgiev of Carlton, Minn. and Melanie (Jeff) Eubank of Bozeman, Mont.; and one sister, Ruby Halvorson of Duluth, Minn.
Mrs. Cossalter lived most of her life in Duluth where she met and married Romulus Cossalter. She was a devoted mother to their five children.
In retirement Helen and Rom lived for 25 years in Colorado Springs, Colo. In 1995 they moved to Sun City, Ariz. and in 2010 Mrs. Cossalter moved to Payson to live with her son, Duane.
Private family services were conducted by Messinger Mortuaries of Payson.
