James Jr. Molloy

James V. Molloy Jr., of Strawberry, died Saturday, April 2, 2011, at home.
Born April 30, 1963, he was the son of James V. Molloy and Patricia (Flynn) Molloy, who preceded him in death.
He was educated in Northampton, Mass. schools and graduated from Northampton High School in 1981. He attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst and graduated from Westfield State College.
Mr. Molloy had a successful career in sports radio sales and marketing. He began his career working at local radio stations, WHMP and WAQY. Later in his career, he worked for CBS Sports in New York, N.Y. His knowledge and skills in the field of sports radio broadcasting led to the development and success of sports programming in the Sacramento and San Francisco, Calif., New York and Phoenix markets.
He was a loving caregiver to his dogs, Penny and the late Uncas.
He is survived by siblings, Elizabeth Molloy of Easthampton, Mass., Christine (Stephen) Woodruff of Northampton, Mass., Maureen Molloy of Phoenix and Sheila (Charles) Lennon of Walpole, N.H.; his nieces and nephews, Jayme Parent (Jay) Talbot of Florence, Mass., Katherine Lennon of New York, N.Y. and Charles Lennon of Walpole, N.H.; and two great-nieces, Julia and Jenna Talbot.
He also leaves his former wife, Suzan (Alton) Molloy of Scottsdale, whom he married June 17, 1997 in Carmel, Calif.; and many close friends.
Services will be Saturday, April 9 in Massachusetts.
