Duane Ellis Walton
January 8, 1949 - February 2, 2011
Duane “D.” Ellis Walton, 62, of Phoenix, passed away in his sleep early Feb. 2, 2011.
Mr. Walton was born Jan. 8, 1949 in Phoenix, and has lived in Phoenix, Snowflake and Payson.
He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He was a very talented farrier and was a horse trainer. His hobbies included being a “rockhound,” and hunting and caring for horses.
He was married three times and had a son from each marriage.
He is survived by sons, Duane Ping, Duane Walton and Clayton Locker-Walton; by his ex-wives, Sue Walton and Kay Locker Walton; brothers, Donald Gene Walton, Travis Clifton Walton and Warner Holden Walton; and sister, Alison Neff.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Vernon Ellis Walton and Mary Luceil Holden; his sister, DiAnne Dooley; and ex-wife, Saima Ping Walton.
Graveside services were held Feb. 21 at the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery in Taylor.
