Walter Wayne Cundiff

(Walter) Wayne Cundiff, 79, of Happy Jack, passed away March 24, 2011. Born in Danville, Ill., Mr. Cundiff was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Moving to Phoenix in the early 1960s, he developed a love for the state and the many opportunities presented to him. As a multi-decade Phoenix resident and part owner of Sun Valley Door and Supply, Inc., he made many longtime friendships.
Upon retirement, he relocated to Happy Jack, enjoying his many hobbies and adding more people to his ever-growing list of friends. Helping his friends and family was his greatest joy.
He is survived by his daughter and her husband, Cheryl and Dan Peters; grandchildren, Christopher and Mary; and brother, Lloyd Cundiff.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary.
The celebration of his life will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, April 2 at his home in Happy Jack. Interment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in a private ceremony.
