Donna Lee Walsh
Donna Lee Walsh, 72, passed away April 18, 2011 in Phoenix. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend. She was born in Butte, Mont. in 1939 to Jack and Rose Sammons.
For more than 40 years, Mrs. Walsh was an educator in Catholic schools and parishes. Over the course of her career, she was a teacher, principal and religious education director in Arizona, California, Indiana, Missouri, Montana and North Dakota.
Since moving to Payson, Mrs. Walsh was an active member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. At the time of her death, she was their spiritual adviser.
Mrs. Walsh is survived by three children, Christina Walsh of Payson; Felicia Correa, her husband Luiz and their daughter Cassandra Rose, of Austin, Texas; and Matt Walsh of Austin, Texas. She is also survived by her mother, Rose Taylor of Payson; siblings, Richard Sammons of Bismarck, N.D., Jack Sammons of Studio City, Calif. and Lois Paige Simenson of Eagle River, Ak., and their families; extended family; and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Sammons; and sister, Jerry Osterman.
