Amy May Badovinus
Amy May (Cornwall) Badovinus was born Aug. 10, 1932 in Kingman, Ariz. and moved to Payson in 1975 where she has lived with her family and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clay and May Cornwall; and by her husbands, Raymond M. LaHaye, married 1953 until his death in 1977, and Nick Badovinus, married 1980 until his death in 1992. She was also predeceased by her brother, Joseph Cornwall.
Mrs. Badovinus was very involved in the Payson community. She was an active member in the community and a passionate supporter of the Payson Lioness, Payson Chamberettes, Christmas Food Baskets, Trunk & Tusk, served on the election board, Anglican Church Women, International Toastmistress Club and more.
Mrs. Badovinus enjoyed caring for her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She instilled in her family the value of community service.
She is survived by sister, Irene (Thomas) Wood; brother, Adam Cornwall; her six children, Rena (Alan) Lenhart, Betty (Carmello) Rivero, Mary Jo (Dave) Combs-Small, Raymond (Jennie) LaHaye, Walter LaHaye and Irene (Bill) Neal. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, Jenni (Lenhart) Bilske, Jacque (Lenhart) Lozano, Jaimie (Lenhart) Kohlstedt, Everett Lenhart, Amy (Gooden) Marks, Carmen Rivero, Raymond Combs-Small, Tiffany (Combs-Small) Villanueva, Nikki Small, R.C. LaHaye, Trevor LaHaye, Krista LaHaye, Anna (Neal) Vela and Rena (Neal) Rinehart; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday Nov. 5 at The Church of the Holy Nativity on the corner of Easy Street and Bradley Drive, Payson, Ariz., with reception to follow in the church hall.
