Virgil Louis Siders
Virgil Louis Siders, 83, slipped peacefully into eternity on April 10, 2012 at the Hospice House in Payson, Ariz.
Mr. Siders moved to Phoenix from Columbus, Ohio with his family in 1938 and attended Madison #1 Elementary School and North High School. He met his childhood sweetheart and future wife, Doris, upon arriving in the Valley. He was 10 she was 8.
Mr. Siders retired in 1998 and he and Doris moved to Payson, where he enjoyed reading, woodworking, working on jigsaw puzzles and watching the hummingbirds and squirrels from his porch.
He is survived and will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years, Doris; his four children, Kathy Morgan, Jacque Mauck and her partner Ron Grevert, Denise Siders and Brad Siders; four grandchildren, Michelle (Ronnie) Mireanda, Adam (Linda) Mauck, Shauna (Michael) Cordovana and Everett Mauck; and five great-grandchildren, Ryne, Ethan and Megan Mauck, Madelyn and Nicholas Cordovana.
He was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Kimberly Ann Siders.
To celebrate his life, a service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 1 at the United Methodist Church, 414 N. Easy St., Payson.
Donations in Mr. Siders’ memory may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
