Bettye A. Farmer
Bettye A. Farmer passed away on Dec. 8, 2012. She was born in North Little Rock, Ark. in 1924 to Charles and Lamont Warbritton.
She was 17 and in high school when she married Charles Farmer, Jr. who was on leave from the Navy during World War II.
They eventually moved to San Diego, Calif. where Bettye was employed by the San Diego Community College District for many years. She and Charlie were avid bow and arrow hunters, and Bettye won several awards.
They retired to Payson, where Bettye was active in both the Payson Reaching Out Breast Cancer Support Group and the Community Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Farmer was predeceased by her husband, Charles; and is survived by her nephew, Larry Howard of Oakley, Calif.; nephew, Buddy Warbritton; and niece, Marion Davenport in Hot Springs, Ark.
Her friends and family are very grateful to Hospice Compassus for their care.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 13 at the Community Presbyterian Church in Payson.
