Arthur “Buck” Buckner, 72, went to heaven on Jan. 7, 2012.
Mr. Buckner was born in Phoenix, Ariz. After serving in the National Guard he worked for Cudahy for 23 years. He retired and moved to Payson in 1989. He loved to fish and hunt. He also had a sense of humor and was quite the storyteller.
“We’ll always remember that special smile, that caring heart and that warm embrace you always gave us,” writes his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; sons, Brandon and Art; daughter, Roxann; brothers, Paul, Norman and Robert; and a sister, Alice.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Winifred; and brother, Wesley.
“It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God welcomed you home. We’ll miss you,” writes his family.
A private celebration of life will be held Saturday, Jan. 14. Please contact family members for details. The family asks that memorial contributions in Mr. Buckner’s memory be made to Hospice Compassus of Payson.
