Edward M. Corson

Lieutenant Colonel (USAF-Retired) Edward M. Corson of Payson, went to be with our Lord on June 13, 2012. He was born May 13, 1923 to Robert H. Corson and Lillian Post in Toledo, Ohio.
Ed’s immediate “family” includes: Kenrick Francis, longtime friend, like a son to Ed, also of Payson; daughters, Diane Snead of Colorado and Karen Fosse, recently with the Lord, and Karen’s devoted husband, Taylor of Missouri. Ed’s surviving sons are Mark (Jeannine) of Arizona, Stephen (Loie) of Utah, William (Gwen) of Arizona. Ed is also survived by many wonderful nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ed was a dedicated service man in the United States Air Force. He actively served for 21 years. Ed served overseas as a master navigator and bombardier during World War II and the Korean War. Ed also served in his high ranking position during the Vietnam War. Ed was a very proud patriot! One granddaughter expressed, “Grandpa Ed, the only war hero I know.” We all love you, Grandpa Ed, writes his family.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sept. 13 at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.
