George Blalock, born Feb. 7, 1933 at Grosse Isle, Mich., passed away on June 7, 2012.
Mr. Blalock was a resident of Canal Senior Apartments and a Payson resident for more than 30 years. A retired auto mechanic he was employed by LaForge Chevron in Payson. Mr. Blalock also served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by Shirley Blalock and Jeffrey Blalock. Survivors are Debbie Blalock of Mesa, Ariz., Michael Blalock of Payson, Ariz., Mark Blalock of Midland, Texas, Elizabeth Taylor of Midland, Texas, Marci Snodgrass of Topeka, Kan., Kimberly Wilson-Bentson of Las Vegas, Nev., David Blalock of Chandler, Ariz., Matthew Blalock of Taylor, Ariz., and so many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved him so much.
Mr. Blalock was a devout family man and enjoyed traveling, camping and the outdoors.
He was passionate about automobiles and tractors and restored many of them during his lifetime.
A family gathering to celebrate his life will be held in the near future.
