Bernard Bobby Lieder

Bernard “Bernie” Bobby Lieder, 72, architect, died at home with his family on Sunday, March 4, 2012 of pancreatic cancer.
He was born Feb. 17, 1940 on the home farm, near New Ulm, Minn. to Florence H. Geldaker and Robert E. Lieder. He grew up in La Crosse, Wis., graduated from Central High School in 1958 and completed technical training at Minneapolis Dunwoody Institute in 1960.
Bernie worked his wonders in residential and commercial architecture in Minneapolis, Minn., Hot Springs, Ark.; Phoenix, Pine and Payson, Ariz.
Bernie is survived by his sons, Karl and Franz; his sister, Jane; brother, Allan; grandchildren, David, Eleanor, Otto; and nieces and nephews.
Per Bernie’s wishes he will be cremated and buried in his birthplace of New Ulm, Minn. A gathering in celebration of his life will be held in Payson, Ariz. at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home, 901 S. Westerly Road. Bernie requested that donations in his memory be made to hospice, in support of pancreatic cancer research or Native American Heritage EG.
