Philip Arthur Kamesch

Philip Arthur Kamesch, 74, of Payson went to be with the Lord on Thursday morning March 8, 2012. He was born May 27, 1937 in Chicago, Ill.
His family moved to Phoenix in the early 1940s. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School and then graduated from Arizona State University in 1959.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Berlin crisis in Germany. During that time, he was married to Betty Lou Landis. She passed away at the young age of 52 in 1989, just shy of their 30th anniversary.
Betty and Phil are survived by their four children, Michael, Joseph, Patrick and Michele. They also have nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Phil is also survived by his younger brother, Jim Kamesch, of California.
Phil and Betty moved from Arizona to Dallas, Texas in 1966 where he worked in the beauty supply business for more than 25 years. He retired to Payson, Ariz. in 1992. Services were held at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Payson at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 13, with visitation at 9:30 a.m.
