Allan Webb Frank
Allan Webb Frank, 75, a seasonal resident of Forest Lakes, passed away Feb. 21, 2012 at his home in Phoenix, Ariz.
Mr. Frank served as an airman second class in the United States Air Force from 1954-1958 as a weather observer.
During his work tenure he was employed at Motorola, General Electric and Lockheed Martin.
He was an avid trap shooter and enjoyed all kinds of shooting sports. He was a member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association, the Arizona State Trapshooting Association, the Phoenix Trap & Skeet Club, the Shoshone Indians, the National Rifle Association and he was a dyed-in-the wool Republican. He also loved getting together with his flying buddies at Deer Valley Airport.
Mr. Frank is survived by his two nieces, Becky Cupstid of Crestview, Fla. and Laurie Peterson and her husband Howard of Salamanca, N.Y. He is also survived by many friends who were his “Arizona” family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Leona; and his brother, Norman D. Jones of Cattaraugus, N.Y.
A full military service will take place at 11a.m., Monday, March 26 at the National Memorial Cemetery, 20329 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Ariz. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life at the Deer Valley Airport Restaurant following the service.
