Dorothy Joan Mann

Dorothy Joan Mann, 70, passed away March 1, 2012, after a 20-year battle with cancer.
Mrs. Mann was born Sept. 24, 1941 in Ventura, Calif., where she raised her two sons, Robert Boatman, Esq. of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Dr. Barry Boatman of Camarillo, Calif.
She worked as a certified public accountant and office manager in Ventura and Fullerton, Calif. and Tigard, Ore. before moving to Pine, Ariz. in 1991.
In the Rim Country, Mrs. Mann developed a passion for quilting and was active in the Strawberry Patchers and the Payson Shoofly Quilters.
She was a giving woman, touching the lives of many throughout her life, writes her family.
Mrs. Mann is survived by son, Bob Boatman and his wife Priscilla; son, Barry Boatman and his wife Laura; and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 7 at the Ponderosa Bible Church in Payson, followed by a reception at the Payson American Legion Hall.
Donations to the Humane Society of Central Arizona may be made in Mrs. Mann’s memory.
