Marion L. Switzer-Erichsen

Marion L. Switzer-Erichsen died April 25, 2012. She was born Nov. 19, 1922 in Kansas. Her family moved to Colorado in 1954 and then moved to Phoenix, in 1975.
She was a winter visitor to Tonto Basin for many years, finally moving there permanently in 2009.
She loved traveling, quilting, cooking and playing cards. She was active in Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts, being a troop leader in both organizations.
She lived a full life that included such activities as racing stock cars, skiing, scuba diving, white water rafting, traveling the U.S. including Alaska and Hawaii, and visiting Germany and Ireland. The list goes on and on.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin C. Switzer in 1989; and her second husband, Harold E. Erichsen in 2009.
She is survived by three children, Bill (Pat) Switzer of Kentucky, Bob Switzer of Oregon and Barbara Nitso of Tonto Basin; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
