Margaret “Peggy” Singer, 74, left to be with the Lord on May 8, 2012 in Payson, Ariz. Mrs. Singer was born Sept. 16, 1937 in Phoenix, Ariz. to Ben and Cleo Sells, who preceded her in death. Her granddaughter, Sabrina Taylor, also preceded her in death.
She attended Grandview Elementary School in Phoenix and graduated from West Phoenix High School in 1955. She lived and worked most of her life in Phoenix and Glendale. She was an avid bowler, reader and cook; and loved being a mother and wife.
Shortly after her retirement from the State of Arizona Motor Vehicle Technical Division, she and her husband, Jack, moved to Payson, where she worked in her daughter Diana’s business.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Singer; her children, Pamela Sinanovic Taylor Parsons (Walt), Diana Sinanovic Atchley and Steven Sinanovic; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her sister, Kathleen Sells Mereness (Bert); and loving cousin, Helen Smith Bamrick (E.R. – Bob).
The family offers its heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Hospice Compassus in Payson.
Graveside services were May 21 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix.
