Pauline Hunt, 90, passed away Oct. 27, 2012, surrounded by family in Weatherford. She was born May 2, 1922 in Winters, Texas, the fifth of seven to the late Abner and Mae Hyatt Lewis.
Pauline loved to cook and was known for her homemade pies, cakes and other pastries.
She was also known to keep a pristine house.
While still residing in Arizona, Pauline was a member of the Payson Woman’s Club as well as active in Beta Sigma Phi International.
She made her career as a pharmacist technician and retired after well over 20 years of dedicated service. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Springtown, Texas.
Survivors include daughters, Wanda Lacey and husband, Joe, of Springtown, and Dorothy Bonenberger and husband, Loren, of Tempe; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Gene Lewis and wife, Dottie, of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister, Dorothy Elledge of Louisville, Ky.; and a host of loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Ray Hunt; her parents; a brother; and two sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 1 at First Baptist Church, 500 N. Main St., Springtown, Texas. Interment will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 3 in Payson Pioneer Cemetery.
