Charlotte Ann Hulet

Charlotte Ann Hulet, 89, of Payson, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Rim Country Health and Retirement in Payson. She was born Aug. 4, 1923 in Albany, Mo. to Thomas Cord and Lela L. Hazelrigg.
She married Louis C. Hulet on Nov. 15, 1944 in Wathena, Kan. They bought a farm outside of Albany and lived there for 12 years before moving to Phoenix in 1956. They spent summer vacations and weekends, since 1961, at their cabin in Payson. Then they moved to Payson full-time upon retirement.
Mrs. Hulet worked at Motorola, building missile parts with the engineers, for 20 years. On the weekends and then in retirement she and Louis would sell their handmade crafts at fairs around the state. She enjoyed fishing and camping, and traveling around the country. She always had a big smile on her face reflecting her love of life and adventure. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor and her positive, fun-loving outlook on life.
Mrs. Hulet was a dual member of Eastern Star in good standing with the Order of Esther Chapter #13, Albany, Mo. for 71 years and the Ponderosa Chapter #65, Payson, for 12 years.
Mrs. Hulet was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Hulet; her parents, Thomas and Lela Hazelrigg; and brother, Glenn Hazelrigg.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Francis, nee Hulet (Jim Osani); granddaughter, Susan Elrod (Wayne Carter) of New Mexico; nieces, Sherry Irish (Larry), Linda Ellgen (Scott), Sharon Smoot, Jamie Hulet and Roxann Hundley; and nephew, Dwight Arnold (BJ).
A graveside service will be held in Phoenix at the Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery at 1 p.m., Friday, April 26. Condolences can be sent to: suelola.francis @gmail.com.
