Carol Louise Garmon
August 27, 1945 - January 23, 2013
Carol Louise Nielsen Garmon, 67, of Payson Ariz., passed away on Jan. 23, 2013.
Mrs. Garmon, beloved wife, mother and nana, was born in Boulder City, Nev. on Aug. 27, 1945. She graduated from Arcadia High School in Scottsdale, Ariz., and received a BSN from Arizona State University.
For most of her nursing career, she spent caring for newborn babies at Maricopa Medical Center and Chandler Regional Hospital and coordinating mobile immunization clinics for pediatric patients at CRH.
She enjoyed travel, boating, sewing, watching football and most of all she loved spending time with her family. She was an active member of the local PEO Chapter.
Mrs. Garmon was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Mary Nielsen, and sister, Betty Zimmerman. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Richard Garmon; children, Scott of Newnan, Ga., Peggie (Bill) Baney of Chandler, Ariz., and Richard (Jennifer) of San Tan Valley, Ariz.; six grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Marcantonio of Colorado; an uncle and countless nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
