March 23, 1926 - February 14, 2013
Marilyn Baker passed away Feb. 14, 2013. She was born March 23, 1926 in Anderson, Ind.
Since the 1950s she was very familiar with the Payson community. Marilyn and Walt Baker decided to settle here in the early ’90s.
Mrs. Baker is survived her husband, Walter Baker; sister, Zoe Sample; children, Jon Bell, Michael Bell, Pamela Bell, Nancy Sinutko, Mark Bell (deceased), David Bell and Steven Bell. She had 13 grandchildren Renee Slaytor, Lisa Sturgill, Brett Bell, Peter Bell, Christopher Meeks, Natasha Sinutko Morgan, Seth Sinutko, Jenny Bell (deceased), Ryan Bell, Eric Bell, Tiffany Bell, Travis Bell and Brandon Bell; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Sept. 5, 1950. Her greatest joy was to be able to share in her Christian ministry and assist others to learn about our great God and Creator, Jehovah. She did this by conducting free home Bible discussions, street work, door to door and where ever she should find a listening ear. She loved people and was always a caring, giving, friend to all. She enjoyed making pottery and knitting and giving these away to others as gifts.
Her family would very much like to express our gratitude for the wonderful care given to our mother by the Hospice program.
We invite all to attend her memorial service at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 2 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1616 N. McLane Road in Payson.
Her family would love to see all her dear friends.
