Anne Lee Sitko
October 30, 1928 - January 5, 2013
Anne Lee (Moore) Sitko, of Payson, passed away surrounded by her children Jan. 5, 2013 at the age of 84. She was born Oct. 30, 1928 in Grand Island, Neb., to William and Anna Mae Moore.
She grew up in Danville, Ky. and attended Centre College where she met her husband of 46 years, Wally Sitko. They moved to Payson in 1980, and then to Phoenix in 1992. He preceded her in death in February of 1997, whereupon she moved back to Payson.
She is survived by her three children, Bruce (Sue) Sitko of Pinetop; Brian Sitko of Payson; and Amy (Sitko) Henderson of Payson.
Mrs. Sitko was a tax preparer and a homemaker. She was also a hospice volunteer for 14 years. Her favorite things were oil painting and playing Yahtzee with Bruce, antiquing and playing slots with Brian, traveling and playing cards with Amy, gardening and canning with Sue, cooking, enjoying nature, listening to music, and reading.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 12 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home, 901 S. Westerly Road.
