August 23, 1925 - January 6, 2013
Walter “Bob” Perham went to be with the Lord on Jan. 6, 2013.
He was born in Chelsea, Mass. to Joshua and Hazel Perham on Aug. 23, 1925. He was very proud of his English/ Canadian descent and was always bonding with people by inquiring of their heritage.
Bob proudly served in the Navy during WWII and enjoyed the wonderful veterans events here in Payson. He worked most of his professional life as an accountant and served as a prison guard before retiring.
Anyone who got to know Bob knew what a wonderful, encouraging Christian man he was. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather and loved his family dearly. Bob enjoyed life! He loved Italian food, Taco Bell and trips to the casino to play Keno. Music was a big part of Bob’s life and he passed on his love for music to his children and grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his oldest son, David and Linda Harding of Pennsylvania; his daughter, Jeanne and Blair Meggitt of Payson; and his son Stephen (Steve) and Judy Perham, also of Payson; his grandchildren, Charlie, Kristina, Laura, Randy and Anita; and two great-grandchildren, Titus and Wesley.
Memorial services will be held at Messinger Payson Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 with lunch immediately following.
