Eddie Denmeade Haught
November 4, 1928 - May 16, 2013
Eddie Denmeade Haught, age 84, passed away May 16, 2013.
He was born Nov. 4, 1928 in Miami, Ariz. to Edd and Irma (Marmon) Haught and was the grandson to early pioneers of the Payson area, Elma and Anderson “Babe” Haught.
To describe Eddie, he was immensely kind and loved his family beyond measure. A quiet man, he would go out of his way to help another in need. Men described him as a man’s man and a prince of a guy. He was an avid big game hunter and loved telling others about his hunts and various life experiences.
Mr. Haught was known for his community involvement. He was a life member and past exalted ruler of the Casa Grande Valley Elks Lodge #1957 and a member of the Pinal Masonic Lodge #30.
He ranched and farmed for many years — a true cowboy at heart.
Eddie was also a real estate land specialist.
Mr. Haught is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Alma Jennings Haught nee Wadkins of Coolidge; son, Denny Haught; daughters, Diana Danelz and Debra Minninger; stepsons Robert Jennings and Kevin Jennings; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents and stepson, Dale Paul Jennings.
A memorial service will be held for friends and family at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 4 at Heritage Funeral Home-Coolidge, 410 W. Roosevelt Ave. in Coolidge. Pastor Steve Williams officiating.
