Dolores May Wright (Bisig)

Dolores May (Bisig) Wright, 86, Scottsdale, Ariz., beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt, died peacefully in her home in Scottsdale surrounded by her children, Joseph S. Bisig, Jr., Scottsdale; Beverly L. Doll, Phoenix; Bonnie S. DeRespino, Scottsdale; David S. Bisig, Scottsdale; and Debra L. Daniels, Payson, on Jan. 24, 2014.
Born May 6, 1927, Dolores married her high school sweetheart, Joseph Bisig, Sr., in Pensacola, Fla. on May 27, 1945, while he was in the Navy. After the Navy, they resided in Rochester, N.Y. and had Joseph, Robert, Beverly and Bonnie, the first four of their six children. In 1954, Dolores and Joe moved to Arizona where they both worked at Motorola and they had David and Debra, the youngest two of their six children.
In April 1979, Joseph Sr. passed away from colon cancer. Several years later, Dolores met and married her second love, Roy F. Wright. They enjoyed dancing, hosting Halloween parties, visiting Laughlin and having huge family get-togethers with their combined family of 10 children and many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In May 2005, Roy passed away after 22 years of marriage.
Dolores was the cornerstone and rock of our family. She is survived by her children; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her brother, Richard Ryan of Scottsdale, Ariz.; her sister-in-law, Carolyn Ryan of Phoenix, Ariz.; her brother-in-law, Raymond Bisig of Rochester N.Y.; and her sister-in-law, Eva Clark of Syracuse, N.Y.
A rosary, followed by the memorial service, will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale, Ariz.
