Carolyn Scott was born April 7, 1930 in the home of her parents, Orin Arthur Kane and Martha Pauline (Ernst) Kane, in Leavenworth, Wash. and passed away Dec. 30, 2013 at home in Payson, Ariz.
Carolyn married young to David Yaeger of California. Later she married R.W. Crank Jr. of Crawford, Colo. and was a U.S.A.F. wife and mother for 22 years. After her second marriage she moved to Phoenix with her two youngest children, worked, attended medical school and earned her L.P.N. certificate. During this time she met and married James Roger Scott. Carolyn worked for 20 years at County Hospital in Phoenix, retired and moved to Payson, Ariz. with James. Here she enjoyed volunteering at Payson Medical Center, Senior Circle, maintaining her garden, cooking, reading, hiking and crochet.
She is survived by brother, Larry Pickett, Washington; sister, Katherine Clemens, Wisconsin; five children, Carla Klock, New Mexico, R.W. Crank III, Utah, Martha Tucker, Florida, Carolyn Hahn, Arizona, Johnny Yaeger, Canada; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Scott donated her body to Science Care; her remains will be placed in the Wenatchee, Wash. cemetery. Condolences can be e-mailed to: MarthaTucker@ cox.net.
