The newly elected members of the Tonto Apache Tribal Council were
sworn in at a special ceremony June 19. Taking the oath of office
were, from left, Councilor Lanell Hooke, Councilor Louise Lopez,
Chairman Ivan Smith, and Vice Chairman David K. Davis. The June 12
election had a 91 percent turnout of registered voters.
