The Tonto Rim Sports Club and the Gila County Range Commission have
made $17,000 in improvements to the Jim Jones Shooting Range south
of Payson. The work, to enhance the safety of the facility, is part
of efforts to encourage the U.S. Forest Service to renew the lease
on the property with the county.
