Local artist Jim Keller was commissioned to sculpt the bronze elk
that will adorn the roundabout at the north end of town at Highway
87 and Tyler Parkway. This limited edition model of the statue,
called a maquette, sells for $5,500 each. A smaller desk model
costs $2,250.
