For just $4 per plate you can have scrambled eggs and bacon, and your choice of plain or blueberry pancakes, plus a beverage. The Senior Center is at 514 W. Main St.
Barbara Arp died Sept. 18, 2008 in Payson. She was born in Los Angeles, Calif. to George W. Fischer and Theresa B. Miller. She was a resident of Payson for 20 years, moving here with her husband, John D. Arp (deceased) from Palo Verde, Calif. where they owned their own business. She is survived by her sons, John D. Arp Jr. of Big Bear Lake, Calif. and Robert S. Arp of Carlisle, Pa.; brother, George Fischer of Rosamond, Calif.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A third son, Gary Fremling, preceded her in death. Memorial donations may be made to RTA Hospice and Palliative Care, 511 S. Mud Springs Road, Payson, AZ 85541.
Residents of the Rim Country are participating in a special 24-hour, 7-day a week prayer for the Mogollon Rim from Sept. 19 to Sept. 26. The kick-off for the Mogollon Rim was Friday, Sept. 19 and continuous prayer is being held at The Meeting Place on Phoenix Street on the south end of town. Dave Reisdorf is the overall coordinator. If anyone is interested in having the group pray for them, they can fill out a prayer card at The Meeting Place. If you are interested in praying, contact Dave Reisdorf at (928) 474-5385.
Join naturalists from the Arizona Game and Fish Department and hike at Tonto Natural Bridge from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8. Registration is now being taken at the Payson parks office in Green Valley Park. Call (928) 474-5242, ext. 7 for details. Bring binoculars and a camera.

George and Florence Rigby celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last week in San Diego with their three daughters — Donna Anderson of Maricopa, Ariz., Cynthia Cordaro of Mesa, Ariz., and Florence Zucaswki from New Jersey. A fourth daughter, Eva, is deceased. On Friday, Sept. 26 they will celebrate with a mass at St. Philip the Apostle Church, followed by a luncheon at Tiny’s Restaurant with members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Silas Jackson Prest was born at 9:21 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008 to Jeromee Prest and Amber Buchea at Payson Regional Medical Center. He weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20-1/4 inches.
Kody Daniel VanBuskirk was born at 9:18 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008 to Ashley at Payson Regional Medical Center. He weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces and was 20-1/2 inches long.
Junior Troy Rogers was born at 2:32 p.m., Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 to parents TJ and Stephanie at Payson Regional Medical Center. He weighed 9 pounds, 13 ounces and was 20-1/2 inches long.
Julissa Flores Duarte was born at 12:31 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008 to Laura at Payson Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and was 19-1/2 inches long.
Grady Bix was born at 7 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008 to parents Travis and Jennifer at Payson Regional Medical Center. He weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces and was 18 inches long. He is welcomed home by big brother Travis Jr. and big sister Hannah.
Emma Faith Lloyd was born at 8:37 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008 to parents Jack and Amy Lloyd at Payson Regional Medical Center. She weighed 5 pounds, 5 ounces and was 18 inches long. She is welcomed home by big brother, Jackson and big sister, Hannah.
