Wanna be a rock star? That's one of the many activities that was offered at the Payson Elementary School Gifted and Talented Expo, Saturday, April 4. The 16th Annual Easter Egg Scramble for children ages 12 and under begins at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, April 11 at Rumsey Park on North McLane Road. Children in six different age groups collect eggs filled with candy. After the first round, it’s approximately 15 minutes between age groups. Age groups are: 1 to 3, 4 and 5, 6 and 7, 8 and 9, 10 to 12, and Special Needs.

A rebel soldier spies on the Union camp as he gathers information about the number of troops, kinds of rifles and whether it looks like the enemy soldiers are preparing to attack. More than 3,000 spectators awaited the resulting battle.
Out in the open is not the greatest place to be firing at a troop of Union soldiers, but this Rebel cares little for personal safety as he fires his musket.
