How high can your dog jump? See some great canine athletic contestants in a Dogs on Course in North America Agility Trial this weekend at Payson Elementary School, 500 E. Rancho Road. The competition is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, April 18 and 19. Agility trials are competition dog sport that is based loosely on the sport of equestrian jumping. Dogs are handled through a series of timed obstacle course challenges like tunnels, teeter-totters, jumps, etc. Saturday the contests will include courses designed by the handlers for their dogs — called Gambles — Snakes N Ladders and jump obstacle courses. Sunday there will be a trigility contest, timed Gambles and more jump obstacle courses. Come out and watch the fun, there is no admission.
