After going through a few preliminary lessons with expert fisherman Mark Kileº, everyone got to try their luck. Several fish were caught by a few patient individuals despite the duck-like weather. The event was part of a Payson Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department program which attempted to teach children how to fish. The event was at Green Valley Park.
The custom interior of Gordon Metcalf’s 1932 Ford coupe took three months to complete. Metcalf met with the upholsterer several times to test the comfort of the seats. Metcalf later had the seats moved back for added driving comfort.
Cleaning and polishing makes Gordon Metcalf’s classic cars turn heads wherever they are. Metcalf declined to divulge just how fast this 1932 Ford can go.
Metcalf and his two award-winning and cherished vehicles, on the left, a 1940 Ford and on the right, a 1932 Ford. It takes Metcalf several hours to clean the white Ford because it attracts bugs like moths to a flame. He protects the front grill with a custom leather bra.
Butch Joyner, associate broker for Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty, located at 906 S. Beeline Highway, west of Chili’s, said he is proud to work under the prestigious name of both real estate firms. Joyner poses with the office’s mascot, Sotheby, the black bear.
