A golden sunset graces the view toward the Superstition Mountains. The Superstitions hoard their secrets in puzzle boxes of lava and thorn — even a fruitless search for gold yields unexpected treasures. Most people associate the Superstitions with the mysterious, semi-mythological Jacob Waltz — the “Lost Dutchman,” who supposedly discovered gold in the area.
