The age range of the members of the Payson Choral Society covers a fair span of years, as is evident by Dick Irvine and Sarah Green, and shows the love of music can be shared by several generations.
The Payson Choral Society, directed by Daria Mason and accompanied by Victoria Harris, has been practicing for its annual Christmas concert since early August. There are more than 70 people participating in the group, creating a sound that rivals professional choirs, according to many of their fans.
Pete Pancrazi, jazz guitarist and vocalist, brings jazzy Christmas sounds to Payson at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 13 at the Payson Community Presbyterian Church, 800 W. Main St. Beth Lederman will accompany him on piano and keyboard, Vic Kottner on string bass, and Gerry Reynolds on drums. Refreshments will be included, and a donation may be given to support the program costs. Reserving a seat is advised, as seating is limited to 200.
