The Rim Country Museum and Zane Grey Cabin in Green Valley Park are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday; from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays; and closed Tuesdays. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Christmas Eve; closed Christmas Day; and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26.

Vinnie Sorce’s fiancee, Stacey Stubbs (shown in the picture with Becca Sorce, their daughter), was killed in a 2007 accident caused by a young woman police determined was text messaging behind the wheel. Sorce, shown at his Chino Valley home, said he’d like Arizona to add a law against using cell phones behind the wheel. With national momentum building, two state lawmakers plan to introduce a bill in the 2010 session that would ban text messaging while driving.
The Lady Longhorns’ next action will be in the 16-team Holiday Hoops Payson Invitational, which will be played Dec. 28 and Dec. 29 on the Payson hardwood. As always, FAN Club members urge the community to come out and enjoy the games while supporting the school and student-athletes.
