East Valley Disaster Service had its work cut out for it recently at Payson High School’s Wilson Dome. Workers from the company began the interior demolition as they tore down the water-soaked wall board ceiling, stucco and removed the lights and electrical wiring. The leak was caused by a pipe that broke at a connection point from constant freezing and thawing due to the extreme temperatures in the area recently. Fortunately the pipe burst at an entrance that is not widely used by many patrons.
The Holiday Hoops tournament provides a venue for a homecoming atmosphere for past players and coaches like Teddy Pettet, at right.

Irene Schwartzbauer was introduced to live hockey almost 14 years ago and she has been devoted to the Coyotes ever since.
