Messinger Mortuary plans to break ground on a new funeral home on South Westerly Drive in late summer to early fall. The state-of-the-art facility will include two chapels, a community room for after-service gatherings and an autopsy room.

With three children, Lillian Barker never expected to have another son. Adding Ian 48 years ago was a welcomed addition.

The Payson Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department’s Concerts Under the Stars series continues Saturday, July 18 in Green Valley Park with Junction 87 performing country music. Vendor stands open at 6 p.m., the free concert starts at 7 p.m. The last program of the summer will be July 25 featuring the Payson Jazz Trio.
