Michael Gray, 7, was one of the children who took part in the Payson Masonic Lodge No. 70 Child Identification Program Saturday. The program creates a complete record of a child in case the child is lost or kidnapped. A child is measured and weighed, photographed from all sides, fingerprinted and a DNA sample is taken. The child also gets to answer a few simple questions, which records the child’s voice. All of the information is placed on a CD and given to parents. No information other than a permission slip is kept by the organizers. The Payson Masonic Lodge will have another Child Identification Program (CHIP) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, July 25 at 200 E. Rancho Road.
