The Elks Children’s Shopping Spree received a boost from a fun-filled afternoon and evening at the lodge. Music, food, games, raffles and more helped raise money not only for the event where members of the Elks take youngsters in the area on a Christmas shopping spree, but also assisted the Payson Community Kids program and the Payson Supply Line project. Chris Schwanbeck of the band Ninth Crisis was one of the performers presenting music at the Elks event. PCK provides after-school care and more for the area’s less fortunate and at risk youngsters, while the Supply Line project collects a wide variety of goods to send to members of the military in Iraq and Afghanistan – items not available to them through the military.
