Director of Food Service Milka Vergara helped Dale Songer come out of his shell by encouraging him to return to his love of cooking.
Dale Songer, a patient at Rim Country Health & Retirement Community, brings a lifetime of experience as a cook, which he shares with the RCH&RC kitchen staff. Songer originally began cooking for his brothers and sisters as they were growing up, and later in logging and mining camps. His meatloaf and enchiladas are so popular with patients and staff, when it is announced they are on the day’s menu, people line up to enjoy them.
Square dancing is popular with seniors all over the country, and the Rim Country is no exception. The Zane Grey Twirlers have celebrated both square and round dancing at a festival for the past 29 years. Plans are already being made for the 30th annual Dance Under the Rim in June 2010.

Before the real action began Gregg Almen filled out the registration form at the number four ramada in Rumsey Park.

After observing disc golfers tee off, it becomes apparent that catching a disc at the moment of release is a most difficult task. Most disc golfers release with such great force one almost doesn't see the disc until it is several feet past the player. With that said, catching Benny Serna's toss on the tenth hole was a great catch.

Kattie Kamps is getting her vital information input into the AZCHIP Child ID Program sponsored by the Freemasons of Arizona. Information that will be put on a CD for her parents and/or guardian includes; photo ID, color photos, digital fingerprints, a recorded interview, a DNA sample and an Amber Alert profile. Louise Snow, seated at the computer is inputing her vital statistics like hair color, height, etc. The Freemasons do not keep any of the information provided.
