Tax time is at hand, and it can be an opportunity to lend a hand as well. According to a new survey conducted by Western Union, 42 percent of consumers said they are planning to file their tax returns earlier than usual this year to receive any refunds sooner, with 72 percent reporting they would share their large tax refunds with a friend or family member who is having trouble paying their current living expenses.
Amanda Kizer of Tempe and Paul Luna of Scottsdale are engaged to be married June 20, 2009 in Phoenix. The bride is the daughter of John and Francis Kizer and is employed as a service technician with Luna Global Solutions. The groom elect is the son of Pat and Chandra Luna of Strawberry and is an intern with Praise and Arts.
Maria Dedmon and Chris Higgins will be married Sunday, March 15 in Star Valley. The bride is the daughter of John and Barbara Baca of Mesa and Gerald and Melinda Bell of Pine. She is the owner of Scoops Ice Cream in Payson and a 1996 graduate of Mesa High School. The groom elect is the son of Ron and Carol Higgins of Sedona, Ariz. and employed as a marketing consultant with KMOG Radio. A reception at Fireside Espresso in Payson, will follow the ceremony.
