The Anime-Manga Spring Break teen special was held Tuesday at the Payson Public Library. Several teens enjoyed the Cosplay which is when they dressed as their favorite anime characters. They also had a ramen eating contest including fastest and most bowls eaten, anime charades, an anime-style drawing contest and watched popular anime movies such as “Naruto” and “Bleach.”
Payson Area Habitat for Humanity will have a groundbreaking ceremony and community briefing for Phase II of Longhorn Village, Saturday, March 21. The event will begin with a presentation at Payson United Methodist Church, 414 N. Easy Street, at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary. Two non-contiguous segments of Highway 87 between mileposts 255 and 268 north of Payson will receive federal stimulus funds for a shoulder widening and resurfacing project to begin this summer.
