Make some time during the busy Memorial Day weekend to visit the museums in Green Valley Park. You will find a special Memorial Day display in the gift shop. One of the area’s pioneers — Lena Chilson Hampton, with the help of others in the community — made a World War II quilt honoring the men and women of the Rim Country who died in the war. The quilt has their names embroidered on stars.
