Tonto Creek and most of the other Rim Country creeks and lakes got a double dose of rainbow trout this week, in preparation for the Memorial Day Weekend crowds. Local anglers should grab a pole and go fishing Friday, to avoid the weekend crush. The East Verde, Haigler Creek, Woods Canyon Lake and others should all be brimming with trout.
