The Payson Elks 6th Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be served on Thursday, Nov. 26, and will be open to the public. Seating will be at 12 noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Dinner is free, but donations are welcome. See or call the Elks Lodge Secretary at 474-2572 for your free tickets, or for delivery to the homebound. DJ Craig will provide the music again this year. The Lodge is located at 1206 N. Beeline Highway.
Mrs. DeMasi’s second-grade table is full of students, guests and family members as they sit down for a Thanksgiving feast Friday in the Frontier Elementary School cafeteria.
Vic McGraw is one of the many storytellers returning for the 10th annual Tellabration event Saturday, Nov. 21 in the cultural hall of the Pine Community Center.
Sasha Parsons holds Felix during the Nov. 6 First Friday Humane Society of Central Arizona fund-raising bake sale at Bootleg Alley. When Gila County Animal Control picked up Felix on Aug. 25, the HSCAZ staff noticed right away that he had a sore on his throat. The sore was treated, but later it turned into a big abscess which required surgery. The HSCAZ staff held the bake sale to raise money to pay Felix’s vet bill.
