The Lonely Hearts Club — This group of animals are those who have been with us for longer than six months. You will see by their bios that their long stays really are no fault of their own. They are all good guys who were brought into this life by irresponsible pet owners who offered little or no stability, let alone training and tender loving care. We have given all these to them in large doses, and they have grown into beautiful animals.
Today’s article is focusing on a group of animals we refer to as “onlys.” Onlys are an animal that does not care for the company of another animal. They are devoted and loving to people but, for whatever reason, do not get along with other animals.
This week’s article is again focusing on animals that were adopted, then returned to us after a period of time. The mortgage crisis has been a major cause for returns this past year. This situation, along with irresponsible ownership, is causing shelters all over the country, as well as purebred rescues, to fill up.
